Report from the 27th Moscow International Book Fair 27th Moscow International Book Fair for HIGH-QUALITY FICTION & NON-FICTION  04 – 07 DECEMBER 2025 https://moscowbookfair.ru/en/ The international aspect suggested a global audience and the opportunity for cross-cultural exchange within the literary world. The International Book Fair showcased a curated selection of high-quality fiction and non-fiction, emphasizing literary merit and reader interest. It likely drew publishers, authors, agents, and readers seeking strong content across diverse genres and subjects. Its international scope fostered a global audience and cross-cultural exchange in the literary world. Since 1999, this fair has showcased and sold Russian-language fiction, nonfiction, and poetry. While featuring over 400 major Russian publishers, a small number of primarily state or quasi-state publishers from other countries also participate, often with a promotional focus. The exhibition attracts over 50,000 professionals and enthusiasts of Russian literature. Beyond showcasing new fiction and non-fiction, it hosts key Russian publishing market events such as round tables, seminars, and lectures. This year's event featured over 400 presentations in 13 halls, with nearly 1,000 speakers. The fair involved different sections: The exhibition's section: Russian publishers occupy over 400 booths showcasing fiction, non-fiction, children's/teen books, and comic books. Only ten booths are allocated to international publishers. Two large communal areas provide spaces for small publishers and authors to present and sell their works. Antique Books Section Selected books from participating publishers were displayed on separate stands. Events Section:  Features 13 halls for lectures, round tables, and product launches. Copyright Section: Includes the Business Area and Negotiation Balcony. According to the latest figures, about 500 events have been scheduled, bringing together nearly 3,000 authors and readers over nine days.  The international section is hosted in Hall 10. Between Dec. 13 and 16, representatives of 74 publishing houses from 14 countries will hold copyright meetings.
