It highlights their innovations in astronomy, mathematics, medicine, philosophy, chemistry, and the natural sciences, and shows how their ideas shaped both Islamic civilization and scientific progress in Europe and beyond. Beyond biographies and accomplishments, the book portrays a cohesive scientific tradition in which knowledge was inseparable from ethics and spirituality, and science served as a means to discover truth and benefit humanity.
